Common Symptoms Of Knee Arthritis

Knee arthritis is one of the most painful and harmful forms of arthritis. This is where it can be very difficult for the knee joints to be able to move properly without pain. This can easily limit one's mobility. It is vital to consider the symptoms of knee arthritis to see if one has this condition.

The most common of all symptoms of knee arthritis is that of the pain that is involved. When the knee joints move they should be able to bend and move properly without any pain. However, when there is pain in movements knee arthritis may be present.

In many cases the knees may even feel as if they are especially tired. This can naturally occur when the knees have had a great amount of activity over the course of the day. However, when this does happen when the person's day is just starting or after a very low amount of activity then this may be a real sign of knee arthritis.

When the knees have a limited range of motion then the knees may be suffering from arthritis. This can be from either the knees not be able to bend properly or for the knees not being able to turn in a proper fashion without a great deal of pain. The measure of pain is the main consideration to use here.

The knees can also be very stiff as a result of knee arthritis. All forms of arthritis generally have stiffness involved. This is where the area that is affected can be rough to the touch and can be painful when touched. Tenderness is common among these areas too in that the body will feel very rough in the affected areas.

Also, swelling can occur. Not only is this not visually appealing but it is also very painful in that it can spread to other areas outside of the joints, including the leg muscles. This is something that appears in all forms of arthritis but it is especially visible in this form.

The joints may also appear to look deformed. This is generally because a deformed shape has become the only real way for the joints to be able to move around without feeling as much pain as that of when one is walking around in a normal fashion. In fact, this can be a result of the knees not having the full range of motion that is needed for normal activities.

These symptoms of knee arthritis are important to consider. The knees can not only feel tired or painful but they can also feel tender, stiff and swollen. The joints can have a deformed appearance and a limited range of motions as well. When a person feels any of these symptoms then it is best to see a doctor for help.
